Terms of Service
The terms for using this instance of Semantichelp, in plain language.
The service
Semantichelp is a hosted knowledge base: you upload documents into a catalog, ask questions in a chat, and each answer cites the passages it came from. A question the catalog cannot answer goes to the owner of that area, whose answer is written back as a normal catalog document. Every organization lives on its own subdomain and keeps its own data.
Your account
You are responsible for your password and for what happens under your account. An admin of your organization can invite people, change their role, and remove them. Do not share an account between people.
Your content
Your documents and your questions stay yours. Uploading them gives the operator of this instance permission to store, index, search and display them so the service can work, and nothing beyond that. You must have the right to upload what you upload.
Acceptable use
Use it for your own organization's knowledge. Do not try to reach another organization's data, probe the isolation between workspaces, or overload the service. Requests are rate limited, and abuse can end access.
Availability and changes
There is no uptime guarantee and no support commitment. Features may change or be removed. There is no billing code in the product, so nothing here creates a payment obligation, and the software is provided as it is and without warranty.
Changes to these terms
This page is the current version. If the terms change, the change appears here.
